In 2002, T&T Engineering Services, Inc. supported
KBR’s Deepwater Technology Group’s efforts for the PhillipsChina,
Inc., Bohai
Bay - Phase II Hull
& Soft Yoke Mooring preliminary engineering
study. The project’s scope
allowed for KBR to perform detailed engineering work, leading to the
preparation of a concise bid specification for the FPSO’s hull, mooring
and associated systems.
T&T’s
responsibilities included preliminary design and bid specification
preparation for the mechanical components associated with the Soft
Yoke Mooring system. Systems
and components evaluated for KBR included:

Pitch and Roll Joint
- Swivel
Stack Preliminary Configuration
- Individual
swivel capabilities and configurations
- Piping/Manifold
