Lift & Roll Systems
T&T Engineering Services 800 Ton Lift and Roll System designed to move substructure with setback Four (4) Corner Lift Units – sized for weight distribution - complete with hydraulic lift ram, skidding cylinders, roller assembly, steering turntable Ram ball and socket design limits off-center loading of piston under conditions of uneven ground/capping beams to prevent galling of cylinder bore. Ram can be removed for maintenance without removal of unit. Turntable assembly allows the roller unit to rotate 90° to move forwards/backward or side-to-side and is actuated by a hydraulic steering cylinder. Control console consisting of control valves with manual operators for independent control of lift rams, skidding jacks, rotation cylinders and beam positioning cylinder with two (2) 3000 PSI pressure gages mounted on a steel frame with labels. One (1) sets of supply and return hoses, 60' long with quick disconnects, are supplied for field installation.

Drill Floor Center Section (DFCS) Unitizations
Unitization of the DFCS on this rig was expected to achieve savings of 6-10 hours per rig move, with significant improvements in rig crew safety. It typically takes from 2 to 4 hours on conventional Box-on-Box Sub Structures to install the center section spreaders, and another 2 to 4 hours to set the drawworks and connect the rotary chain drives. Rig-down durations are typically about half as long as rig-up times. Using two cranes the DFCS was lifted and secured in the substructure assembly in 11 minutes, with no rig crew interface during the lift, validating the achievement of the upgrade objectives.
